Colorado passed a law supporting Uber, Lyft, etc. You're pretty much socially frowned upon for driving instead of using those ride services up here. Doesn't matter if your lib/middle/conservative. It's just plain stupid to not use them if you're having some drinks.

Its one thing to use it when you are drinking. But you have people around here who use it for everything. What a waste of money.

I always said Baton Rouge has such shite public transportation, add in a college town, you are just asking for people to get on the roads.

YEP, one of the first things Bobby J did when he became governor was to pressure LSU to get rid of the drunk bus. The MADD mothers said it promoted under aged drinking. That next weekend was a shite show.

I wonder if this coincides with drivers complaining about short fares.

what do you care? it is their money.

I have used it sober just because I knew parking was going to be a pain or cost me $10 to park.

Uber is great. If anyone hasn't used it I have a code for a free $20 ride all new riders can use, it is 806C9. If you download the app now and enter it you will always have it waiting for you whenever you decide to try it for your first time.

Where I live those who use Uber tend to be the liberal hipster types.

If using an app to get a ride faster/cheaper than calling a cab makes you a hipster.... sure

We use it a lot in Houston and sold the extra car.

My wife's garage is $15/day. Uber is $5.20/trip

That is fricking retarded. "Well, if we get rid of this very safe mode of transportation for underage drunk kids, they will definitely decide to just not drink at all instead of finding a more dangerous method of transportation."

The drunk bus was awesome when I was in school from 05-09. I remember a few of my friends and I were the only people on one time and the driver brought us to McDonald's. Yeah, what a great decision to get these alcohol enablers off the road.

I used to drink and drive occasionally more out of necessity than anything (as worthless as that sounds) I haven't done so once since uber took off.

Uber is great for safety.

Safelight will be using this statistic as just another reason that red light cameras are working.
