The vast majority of the "muh long term effects" crowd are just using it as an excuse. Ive yet to see anyone suggest exactly what the long term concerns are. We've never seen effects from vaccines out past like a month, so its not based on past experience.

Your sentiment is nothing but hope. mRNA has never been used in humans like this, you or anyone else have no idea if there are effects at 2, 4, 10, any amount of years. To say there aren't any is just arrogant hope based on nothing scientific at all.

So as a small govt conservative you aren’t for an employers right to choose who they employ? You consider that a win for America?

What if they said only white Christian males will be employed. They can do what they want as long as it isn’t against state or federal constitution.

State constitution says u can’t force medical decisions on employees…..

1. They don’t sign anything

People at Oschners don't sign some form of contract like a job description? How do they know what the expectations of their job is? And how can you fire someone, if you have no documentation as to what you told them their job expectations were?

Generally employment agreements, if they exist, stipulate that the employee will follow all policies of the company and that the policies are subject to change at any time. There’s a lot of wiggle room for employers.

as a big government liberal you aren't for protected classes? Should businesses be able to fire based on skin color?

I think a business should be able to hire and fire whoever they want based on job performance and other key metrics.

Race, nationality, age, gender, sexual orientation, ethenicity, religious background, etc…. Shouldn’t be used to consider employment or promotion except in rare instances where it would be beneficial to hire based on one of these criteria.

Companies shouldn’t have to maintain a certain % of diversity and inclusion in hiring and promotions.

I don't think that includes what type of medical procedures I have to undergo. Otherwise they could require all women to have a hysterectomy so that pregnancy wouldn't affect their production.

It was in the works and everyone knew it was coming but they didn’t have FDA approval yet, which magically was done super fast. They knew it wasn’t constitutional to mandate federally so they had to figure something out.

On June 10, 2021, OSHA issued an ETS applicable to certain healthcare settings. The healthcare ETS mandated numerous prevention strategies—including screening, social distancing, physical barriers, and training—but did not go so far as to require vaccinations or weekly testing.
Those employers covered by the healthcare ETS will thus have to undertake a new analysis to determine if they also fall under the large-employer mandate and/or the expanded Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) mandate, detailed below. In other words, compliance with the current healthcare ETS will not suffice to comply with the new rules for some employers.

How about marital status, health issues, pregnancy status or plan, religious views, etc… There’s lots of things employers can’t ask about or fire you for without getting in a ton of trouble. Just ask the company that got popped for $10 million for firing white guy to hire a black woman and white woman.

I agree. frick government mandates. Private entities should have the ability to set their own policies.

People on this board aren’t consistent. They’ll raise hell if the government sets guidelines they don’t agree with but are fine with the government stepping in if it’s something they support.
