Louisiana, outside of few parts of New Orleans and Baton Rouge, is utterly irredeemable

Interesting that 3 of the top 4 are within a few hours drive of each other. Not surprised at all re Shreveport and Jackson. A little surprised by BR, but I sure got my arse out of there with the quickness once my LSU degree was complete.

Interesting that Funroe isn't listed. Surely they're shrinking, right? Are they not considered a mid-size city?

What is a good selling point for BR, in your opinion?

I live in a great part of BR and I can’t even really answer this.

You used to be able to live extremely well here on a somewhat modest salary but now that’s not even really possible. The few good neighborhoods home prices are sky high now.

Obviously unless you’re willing to pay 5 figures a year 90% of the schools suck.

I used to be a big BR defender on here. But we’re almost certainly heading elsewhere when our older kid is ready to go to school.

OP is just a troll though. BR had it’s good moments.

Plenty of people live perfectly fine lives here but I wouldn't stay if I had young kids that weren't even in school yet. Our youngest is 13 now but our situation was far more complicated when she was 5.

We won’t move far most likely because of family but our time in BR proper seems to be winding down.

Hey you wanna buy a house?

Well, damn it

I have lived in Shreveport the majority of my life and I am slowly starting to hate this place. It's fricking dirty and run down. We built a house as close to Desoto parish as you can get. I hope they Deannnex us soon

My next move will be closer to some mountains and cooler weather. I'd live in Montana if I wouldn't have to get a divorce first.

I made the offer but Texas said we’d have to take Orange to Beaumont in return so the deal fell through

My wife told me about a month ago that as long as our parents are living she'd go wherever I want but only within an 8-9 hr drive of BR and Birmingham

I can’t speak for everyone but I am moving from BR because a lot of the people here are violent, littering killer animals

Plenty of room in beantown, baw. If you move here we'll be one step closer to renaming it bawtown.

Same

My wife doesn't want to live north of maybe Arkansas because of weather. Hates the cold. Screw that, I'd love to live in CO or a similar climate.

Not defending either of these cities, but much of these types of lists are due to suburb growth, bot really people leaving the areas.

EBR Parish overall population is flat.
