What America needs most in a time of massive technological progression during a global crisis is to squeeze education funding.

There’s no more white students to exit. Unless you count magnet. I bet those parents are pissed right now. Should have gone private.

This is a sign of a failing society; lack of support and belief in public education. If this is your reality, you reside in a destitute place.

Teachers are overplaying their hand here. They are rendering themselves obsolete.

If online education becomes the new normal expect the Amazon, Netflix, Youtube, etc to get into the content creation business and create the online lessons. They have the infrastructure to project that content. Imagine where only the top 1% of teachers create content.

The world has seen incredible technological innovations however education has been stuck in the same model used for centuries. This could be the time for change.

This.
This.
This.

I’ve been saying for years that one day soon we’ll realize that spending millions on college campuses, dorms, etc. can be done away with. Soon they will be like a one room schoolhouse, seen only on TV and in history books.

I can't imagine how dystopian a world like that would look. The largest corporations in charge of education? I'm sure it would lead to great things like why BP wasn't really responsible for the oil spill and how they were unfairly punished for it. Bayer has a class on why that medicine didn't really kill all those people and you should really pay more for it. HSBC on why laundering money for cartels isn't a bad thing and you are racist if you think it is wrong. This is some of the dumbest shite I have ever heard. Do you even understand what a conflict of interest is?

No he’s tired of paying for things for which he receives no benefit. Like schools that are closed indefinitely and state employees and teachers who are refusing to work. I absolutely agree with him.
I’m tired of paying taxes and getting nothing for my money.
Either put my money to use or give it back to me.

There is a MASSIVE problem with not reopening schools. Mostly with dual income families. Where are the kids suppose to go if both parents are still working?

I am not paying for school breakfasts and lunches that aren't being cooked. Power consumption at schools is less. Bus drivers are getting paid for not bringing kids to school? What about janitorial or secretary staffing?

If anything, teachers need a pay cut and IT needs a pay increase. Those two don't equal out - and tax payers will be mad at school board choices.

Except they gonna trim the really important shite like the brain, the heart; the lungs, and the liver. The fat will be left plump and intact.

Coming soon to a home near you...

Every kid across the nation sitting at home in front of a screen watching and "learning" from an online class produced by the department of education

Nothing terrifying about that

me and the wife don't have kids. we have paid our taxes for over 40 years now. i don't give two sheets about yalls little braxtons and shanequikwa's education or their free breakfast/lunch. if there is no school i want my damn money back. buy them a phone app to get book learned. alot cheaper and probly more effective.

Refund the money it costs to cool, heat, light, clean, feed, and Coach. If nobody is at school only the teachers, principals, and IT staff needs to be paid right? Isn’t that called trimming overhead in the real world?

No need to pay a nurse, or janitor, or football coach. Just educators and their managers.
