If it makes you feel better I would imagine there will be a lot of budget cuts in the future.

Are B.R. public schools not primarily funded via property taxes ? If yes, should there not be an ever increasing amount of $ available, given the mass exodus of the white student population ? I mean LESS students every year = more Tax $ for those than remain !

But teachers will be teaching!!!!!!

Yeah fricking right. In March-May public schools said frick it and didn’t teach shite the rest of the school year once kids were sent home because everyone is poor arse and doesn’t GAF about school.

It won’t be any different in the fall if they try that again.

No dipshit, teachers will make more on unemployment than to keep paying them so how really do you want to spend your tax dollars?

It won't cost near as much not having to heat and cool schools. No busses burning fuel. Would still have the food expense. Janitors won't be needed. Most bus drivers can be laid off. Lots of savings that should be refunded.

Teachers are overplaying their hand here. They are rendering themselves obsolete.

If online education becomes the new normal expect the Amazon, Netflix, Youtube, etc to get into the content creation business and create the online lessons. They have the infrastructure to project that content. Imagine where only the top 1% of teachers create content.

The world has seen incredible technological innovations however education has been stuck in the same model used for centuries. This could be the time for change.

No, they won't. That extra 600 dollars a week crap ends at the end of this month.
