Tort reform and loser pays. Frivolous lawsuits and frivolous lawyers disappear.

That is a much smaller list than you seem to be implying. Did you go to law school?

Found the Charleston Law grad. And yes, I went to an established law school in Middle Tennessee.

So you are saying we should "raise the bar"

What would be the 4L curriculum?

I'm thinking something about hair, like how to go to a barbershop and request a normal haircut. Maybe include a unit on the perils of the toupee and the at-home dye job.

In Britain, they've sidestepped the whole problem by mandating wigs. Seems smart- could definitely be the basis of a class debate or some sort of symposium.

Seriously, lawyers have weird hair.

I feel like they could somehow cut the amount of lawyers in half and increase the overall quality dramatically if we just made the Bar Exam much, much harder. Is that possible?

I've got a couple of ideas in this area:

A round of Russian Roulette between each section.

Live rattlesnakes in the testing room.

A requirement that all applicants arrive at the testing facility via skydiving but every 6th parachute has been artfully removed from the pack and replaced with delicious cinnamon candies.

Small minds make small changes. I think my suggestions would substantially improve the legal climate in Louisiana and at a very reasonable price.

Loser pay and both sides have to post a bond pre trail to cover the other side’s declared cost prior to trial.

That will weed them out quick as thousands of lawyers lack the financial wherewithal to actually post such a bond.

I would make it a little easier.
Flood the market. Drive the cost down.
Make it a less desirable job.

Which part, over which time period, and what about that experience makes you believe that the current Bar exam is easier pass than previous exams?

Shut down every law school in the state of Louisiana for about 10 years.

He would be a dumbass if he said no Now that I am a CPA, I would be all for them making the exam 18 parts and impossible to pass. Why wouldnt I?
