Why should towels that are used to dry off clean water from your clean body be only used once?

I use a towel for about a week in the winter. I go through 2 or 3 towels a week in the summer because I take more showers when it's hot.

A towel can be used for several days as long as it completely dries between uses.

bullshite. Drying off with a semi-wet, cold towel is not comfortable.

pretty reasonable, unless we're showering in 212 degreeF H20, and drying off with a towel taken directly from a 212 degreeF warmer bunch of mammas kids up in here, as a matter of fact, for the good of our skin, we don't need to bathe as often or as long as we do

ETA: it actually dries your skin out to over bathe

Use the main dry towel multiple times before I get a new one. Although the smaller separate towel I use for the important parts gets used once only.

I use towels once. More than that is disgusting.

My fiance uses a new one after each shower. I think it's retarded. But she has her own bathroom and does her own laundry so I don't really care.

I use them 2 or 3 times, I'm clean when I get out of the shower or bath.

damp towels that sit out attract bacteria even in the cleanest of houses. So yeah. I'm sticking with twice and then it's to the laundry.

Putting damp towels in the laundry makes them mildew. You want them to "sit out".

Totally agree. But if they're in the laundry, they're getting washed is what I'm saying.

Towels are the assholes of a household laundry cycle. They take forever to dry and just slow down the process.

You want to cut down on those as much as possible and this factors exponentially once there are kids.

I proclaim that you are a fancy boy if you are repulsed by using a towel more than once. I have a hook next to my shower door and may use the same one for a couple of weeks or more and I am a very clean person.

Needing a new towel every time you shower is ridiculous.

just do all of the towels together, they dry pretty uniformly and quicker that way

ETA: I mean tell your woman to do that

Serious question for those that use a new towel everyday. How often do you change your bed sheets? I would think that sleeping more than one night on a set of sheets would be worse germ/dirt wise than re-using towels.

Full disclosure: I change towels and bed sheets weekly.
