Why in the shite would I reuse a towel I've dried my sack and arse with?

Also I don't want used towels hanging around the bathroom.

New fresh towel every shower. It's not that hard to throw a load of towels in the washer and dryer every 2 or 3 days.

I just grab whatever towel the wife hung in the bathroom. I have no clue how long it's been there.

Reuse like a normal person that knows how to clean themselves... then wash them every time we do laundry.

I used to use a towel more than once. Then I watched a 20-20 or 48 hrs or something like that show many years ago and they showed all the microscopic creepy crawlies still hitching a ride on your skin AFTER your shower or bath.

Fresh towel every time after that. No sense in adding more creepy critters off a used towel.

I like to use my towel at least twice. However, after one use my wife will come behind me and throw it in the laundry. ETA: She gets worse during the summer months.

Does worse mean that she washes it before you use it or she starts slacking and washes less often in the summer? ??

I did not read other answers but offer this.

I lived on an aircraft carrier for 4.5 years mostly in southeast Asia, meaning hot and humid.

We were instructed that after showering we should wring the washcloth dry and use it as a towel to get most of the water off our bodies. Then we could use the towel for the remaining moisture.

Your body is dry and the large towel has minimal moisture in it.

A friend of mine used to tell me that when he dried himself after a shower, he'd dry his arse crack last and smell the towel. If the towel smelled like arse, he'd get back into the shower. If I did that, I'd never leave the bathroom. I can wash my a-hole with gasoline and a wire brush and 5 minutes later, it smells like arse. Guess I'm a manly man.

I'm not reading 3 pages of replies.

I DONT reuse them. Even though I'm clean, I wipe my balls and arse with the towel. Why would I then wipe my FACE with that same towel next time? Gross.

You realize it stinks because it's loaded with bacteria and/or mildew right?

Fresh towel every bath. My wife does the laundry and she's cool with it. Sorry you haven't trained yours right.

Had a roommate that must have thought he were supposed to use a towel like sandpaper on his body to dry off. Around the outside of the tub was

Two towel rotation so that the same one has a lot of time to dry.

I do not reuse towels. I have plenty and like a clean fresh towel after bathing or showering. I would never reuse a wash cloth.

Same here. Prior to 3 days, if the towel smells dirty, it goes to the dirty clothes hamper.

Reusing towels after little kids are dried off is fine. Reusing towels after adults use them is not fine.

My friend had this theory in college only he said he would never wash the towels the entire semester between the 4 guys in the dorm room. That was really gross. The towels certainly smelled like they had not been washed. After that I could never stand to reuse towels ever again.

The true flaw in the argument besides the butt stuff is drying your face and mouth with the towel. After 2-3 uses it really does start to smell bad no matter how clean and neat you are. It really doesn't save that much in energy and water to wash the damn towels.
