Get him a gerbil instead.

Name it “Percival”.

If he’s not gay after a year, he’ll never be.

I had one back in high school. Was the best dog, great personality full of energy, just not the brightest of beasts. Loved being around people.

They are great dogs but can be real stubborn like most terriers. Just need to have a strong hand and make sure they are quickly socialized with any kids.

As others mentioned, they aren't the brightest. They are built like little tanks and are very strong. That said, the few I have been around are extremely friendly to friends and family.

Terriers are aggressive and will bite.

Only time I was ever bitten was by a terrier and I had no interaction with the dog prior to the attack.

Would not have.

Make sure that he is well aware that if Santa brings him a dog, he has to feed and clean up after it.

Been my experience that most kids love the idea of a pet and really have fun with them when the pet is a pup or kitten.

However, they grow up much faster than kids and before you know it that cute little puppy is now a dog and you're picking up dog crap, bathing and grooming them, feeding them, etc. because the kids don't like the responsibility.

Yes. I love mine. She was a bit stubborn and took some time to train. She gets along with other animals and loves people. Just make sure to walk it or give some time to play outside for awhile or it will go nuts if cooped up.

So you want advice and when people tell you that it sounds like a dumb idea you double down like its a threat or trying to prove something?

They got bull in the name for a reason. Probably hard headed as frick. Good luck with that dog because your 11yo son will not be able to handle him.
