So what happens when all jobs are done by robots?
What do we do with all the unnecessary people?

Yeah, because studies show that if you shelter kids from other kids, they'll be highly functioning adults in their social life.

We'll probably have to place limits on reproduction.

We already have a lot of unnecessary people, and we support them with welfare and other subsidies. Creating pretend work for people who produce nothing, is no better than just giving them welfare.

Public school teachers in 2018 are, by and large, pretty worthless. They're glorified babysitters who produce nothing.

Not all public schools are bad. I'm at an A school, and enjoy going to work everyday.

Up here in North La, or East Texas as you say, have plenty of excellent public schools.

I agree with you, but it is already happening. More kids are getting high school credit on line. For some, it is a great thing, because they can go at their own pace. Brighter kids can finish courses faster and graduate early.

You have to be the dumbest poster on this site, and that is saying a LOT.

As someone else pointed out, you wouldn’t ever make it as a teacher.

"make it"

why are we pretending that teaching is like making it through BUD/S?

I know half-retarded, lazy, 27 year old girls who were once half-retarded, lazy, 21 year olds who got into teaching because they couldn't do anything else.

I understand your sentiment. School is primarily for learning, I agree. But its secondary purpose is almost as important as its primary purpose and that is, teaching them how to function with other people out in the real world.

Kids need to have interaction with other kids their age, any clinical psychologist would tell you that. It's of the utmost importance that they do.

Teachers unions are the reason we need robot teachers.

There was a time when teaching was prestigious. When teachers were incentivized to do well and get the most out of their students. The unions have turned the educational system into one which benefits teachers at the expense of the students.
