Should public school teachers be replaced by robots?

Public school teachers in 2018 are, by and large, pretty worthless. They're glorified babysitters who produce nothing.
Now some of this is due to lazy people who get into the teaching profession to do what they love, which is nothing. But then you have the people who want to help kids and actually teach those little bastards, but the local and federal government, and teachers unions have made their jobs nearly impossible. There is no incentive to actually be a good teacher.
Ultimately you end up with babysitters who hang out with future felons all day for 180 days a year, complain about how hard their jobs are, and then lay around the rest of the year complaining about how hard their jobs are.
Replace them with robots and be done with it. Robot teachers. Robot principals. Robot armed guards.

You’d have to make them sex robots.

You wouldn't last a week teaching.
Bare minimum I make it four months. Those four months out of the year you lay around in your pajamas.

Seems like it'd be cheaper just to have online school for everyone.

So this is only for shitty school districts?

Nah, it’s not the teachers. It’s the metrics by which they are measured. They also have mountains of data to do to show why the minority kids aren’t doing as well as the others, and it’s always the teacher’s fault.
Also, it’s the parents. Both white and black. They don’t want a teacher, they want a babysitter. They don’t want to hear about little Suzy’s behavioral issues, it’s the teacher’s fault she misbehaves. Teaching absolutely sucks and there’s no way I would do it as a career

Nah, run it nationwide. The smart kids who want to learn will learn, as they always have.

So it's just a coincidence the good school districts consistently get the smart kids that learn on their own?

So when the students say “frick you robots”. Who’s going to discipline them?

No, it's not a coincidence. It has to do with parenting, genetics and cultural factors. Doesn't change a thing with respect to my plan for robot teachers. Those kids will continue to learn as they always have.

The robot principal.

It would be much cheaper.
As someone who teaches online college courses, I will look forward to the day we officially become Idiocracy.
