Should masks be required at schools next year?

I say hell no, but if any students or teachers want to wear them, so be it. Make it optional, NOT REQUIRED.
My sister who is a teacher says masks better be required for everyone again for at least one more school year.

Our district already said that the masks are ending June 7.
So they don’t need them for summer school/athletics and next school year.

Our schools just transitioned to masks optional last week

No masks for school next year. The vaccines are readily avilable. Everybody should be vaxxed by then. If not, eff 'em.

Real talk. People send their kids in sick all of the time. COVID or not. I’m not above wearing them during flu and cold season at this point.

Masks are bad. Prevent bad air from getting out. It can affect a lot, shown in new studies.

Students - absolutely not
Teachers / administrators - not at all if they are fully vaccinated, if not, only when they are in close proximity to another person (for example, not needed if they are in front of class lecturing)
Cafeteria workers / nurses - required unless they are fully vaccinated
School visitors - required unless they are fully vaccinated

masks should have never been required. Its not the governments place to force these things. They should be tasked with providing the data, info, guidance, recommendations, etc. But ultimately it should be the individuals choice how to proceed. I honestly think if it would have been presented that way the compliance would have been about the same or maybe even better. just my 2 cents
