Dude just wants to get a buzz on and forgot Monday is memorial. Don't think he was trying to insult you

I got some Bangledeshi's that will click all your links hundreds of times an hour for a tenth of what this guy is asking.

You said it more succinctly than me.

Who is buying on Memorial Day?

Reschedule man. He could already have plans and invested in a condo for the weekend.

I think it's just his way of saying HE didn't realize it was Memorial Day at the time y'all set it and would probably rather do another day

oh yeah that's what i was intending to say what his email was REALLY saying

hence, "Should i make him go into work on Memorial Day?"

i'm not going to, just fwiw. i just thought it was a funny thread to make

That's on him.

OP, I'd cancel the appointment because this guy failed to realize it was Memorial Day. That's just amateur hour.

i did. i even went one step further

quote:

We can reschedule. Monday was the only day next week the app would let me schedule.

I will tell you before we go any further that I am happy with my current SEO and it's going to be very unlikely to sway me from my current setup. I understand that you have protocols to follow for your management, but I'd feel very bad taking up anymore of your time when it's highly unlikely that I will purchase your product.

JUST got this email: "I noticed our appointment is on Memorial Day. I have no problem following up on a holiday, but I just wanted to make sure and not interrupt your day off."

last time i had a desperate salesman show up to my door on a sunday, i at least ended the visit with taking him and his raggedy arse kid to the niners game in my suite and let him network with all of my peon colleagues.

As a former sales guy, I will give my full pitch 100/100 times if a potential customer says they're happy with their current company but they are willing to listen to my pitch

Just sayin' if this guy is even decent at selling he will smell blood in the water and won't leave you alone until you say no thank you

Kind of shocked he led with price and not value during the first contact. Why would he play the price card before giving his best swing, unless he's prepared to discount it

he did sell value, a certain # of guaranteed contacts/month or something that was way higher than what i am looking for (Even on the budget option). i told him directly that this way way high for what i want and he's better off calling a bigger firm looking for max volume (that isn't me). didn't stop him

He sells with price because that's what everyone else does. I'm guessing when you're selling SEO services the first thing a potential client will ask is how much
