You can easily train them to sit on their own blanket or towel.

This is true. Goose wipes his paws before coming inside

I’m currently quarantined at home with the China flu and my wife and kids went to her mothers. The only thing I asked for was the dog to stay with me. I fell asleep using him as a pillow on the couch last night. He’s currently on the other couch with his legs up in the air and his head hanging off the side of the couch.

Yes both Boxers on couch. No to the bed though, only because I get hot at night and if you’ve ever had one you know how clingy they are and want to be right up next to you.

I have allergies so the orange dude has his own chair covered with a blanket. I also cover the guest bed with a blanket for him if he chooses to sleep in there because he can't sleep with me. He lays on the sofa ever night with my husband and yet another blanket. I almost constantly wash blankets

That is so sweet and selfless that you do that for him despite your allergies!

If I paid for the furniture yes.
If you paid for it, do as you please.

What is you opinion on animals being allowed on the furniture?

Yes. The United States has continued to increasingly humanize pets since the 1980s.

To each his own.

If you have an indoor dog and you successfully keep it off the couch, my hat’s off to you. That’s actually pretty impressive.

Pretty much this.

Mine sleeps with me. He's a small dog and doesn't shed. But he's like a heating pad and has to cuddle.

And for those that think dogs are disgusting, I would bet that my dog is cleaner than your sorry arse will ever be.

We're talking about pets. Not Antifa, BLM, or Biden voters.

My dog isn't allowed on the furniture. I don't like dog hair all over my clothes and furniture. He has several dog beds all over the house.

If I ever get another dog, it'll be a low/no shedding breed and it will be able to get on the furniture

At my house they do. They are like my kids and as long as they don't tear shite up I have no problem with them laying on the sofa or a chair.

Tell you what, you come over to my house and try to keep my dog off the couch/bed. Hell I’ll give you a whole week to teach him, let me know how it goes

LOL right. Mine is spoiled and would not get comfortable if he wasn’t allowed. He’s a 63 pound lap dog
