No. Property taxes are passed onto renters anyway.

Again, if only property voters can vote, there is inventive to create inequitable taxing policy.
Same can be said for non-property owners being allowed to vote on property taxes.
I’m assuming you meant “incentive”.
Posted on 8/2/22 at 12:32 pm to GentleJackJones
absolutely.
but there is a certain political segment who will argue all day long it shouldn’t.

No it doesn't because they have the ability to own property.

So military, fire fighters, policemen, teachers, and etc. who are usually pillars of a community shouldn't get a vote?
Correct
Not net taxpayers

People who believe in a democratic republic?

oooh, certainly not

It's embedded into the rent. Higher property taxes correlate to higher rents. Higher rents correlate to fewer prospective tenants, more defaults, etc.
I don't see many property owners, residential or commercial, pushing for higher property tax increases.

I guess 18 year old enlisted men that don't own a house haven't done enough to vote in your eyes.
Sad

Only people voting on property taxes issues should be people who pay property tax.

You constantly throw these immature insults around. Meanwhile, you can’t even type a coherent sentence.

Not only on property ownership
But net taxpayers as well
A government employee that owns property is not a net taxpayer because their money came from taxes. What they own is actually from taxpayers and should not even be considered theirs. They should not have any votes either.
Yeah, there's a word for what you're describing. It's called feudalism.

I know one thing, those receiving entitlement handouts should not be allowed to vote.

I can only assume you declined the refundable child tax credit. Or TOPS if you went to college in Louisiana

You constantly say things that are completely idiotic. That's out of my control.

Not if you get more votes for more property. If you still only get one vote then maybe.

You just stripped the voting rights from the group that is the most conservative AND the most likely to actually vote.
Congrats.

And will undoubtedly rebuff social security and Medicare (if still available)

Think about it, if you don’t own a home or acreage, why should you be allowed to vote on those matters - i.e., tax increase, where the tax funds are to be allocated, etc.
You sound like a xenophobic bigot. Everyone knows apartment dwellers know how real estate works. Sheesh.
