Potholes and crime. On the plus, the potholes in Lakeview deter car theft somewhat.

I've heard that helen is one of the best restaurants in town, what is it that makes it so? My wife and I wanted to do a date night tomorrow and we narrowed it down to helen or bistro 218 but we went with b218. I do believe we'll hit helen at some point in the coming months but I'm just curious what makes it get all the fuss it does.

sorry I have another question...tell me more abotu canoeing the cahaba. We moved from ATL not too long ago and I know all abotu floating down the chatahoochee there, is the cahaba situation similar? Is there a specific designated point people enter and exit? Where can you rent canoes? Can you bring your own gear? Is it suitable for an inflatable tube or do you need an actual canoe type vessel?

Sit on beach.
Drink beer.
Sleep.
Repeat.

Our reputation precedes us.

A couple years back, USA Today ran a study on which was the worst town in which to live in America. We finished 2nd. Couldn't even garner 1st Place in a shittiest town contest.

Pcola - Not the beach but downtown.

Vibrant. Tons of places to eat and imbibe.
Catch a Wahoos game at the bayside stadium.
Archaeology tour of all the old fortifications downtown (mostly Spanish and British).
Its just an easy place to hang..

A little known historical place in downtown...the house where Jim Morrison was conceived. Ha.

Positives: great weather (assuming you’re looking for a trip in the near future), amazing history, great restaurants, nearby many other states worth visiting, whale watching tours, best beer in the country

Negatives: far away for a short trip and expensive
