Pure blooded dogs are the dogs you stay away from if you don't want medical problems

Designer puppy for $2k... I bought a Basador (half lab and half basset) for $100(covered his vet bills). The poor bastard had his son bring his Basset Hound to his house for Sunday dinner. Well the Basset grew legs and mounted his Lab. It was a mutt to me not a designer breed.

Some of us want dogs with good bloodlines from established breeders; I have always had only labs, not going to change that. While I feel for the dogs that are abused and abandoned, adopting isn't for everyone. It's a shame people abuse and don't take care of their dogs and abandon them.

. Get a doggie from a rescue service

Rescue people become more and more nazi-ish about their requirements by the month it seems. I follow a local rescue for a specific breed of dog (one of the few, if not only for this breed in the area) and they'll repost dogs all the time begging for someone to take the dog and every time there are tons of comments from people who want the dog but the rescue rejected them. They make you jump through some pretty ridiculous hoops to get a dog. It's always kind of sad to see them post the adoption photos of a highly sought after dog they get and the adoption pic is of the new dog with like 2 or 3 other dogs (usually from the same rescue group).

So they have hundreds of people vying for a specific dog and it seems like at least half the time the dog ends up going to a family that's already gotten 2 or 3 other dogs from this particular group.

Disclaimer: I have a rescue from this particular group.

I love the 4k price tag, and you do not own breeding rights

Nothing that can get loose and run over while licking its a$$ in the street should be labeled "designer".

Aside from this absurdity already, can you imagine dropping $4k and willingly taking on another mouth to feed during a pandemic?

My brother for many years had what I referred to as his "Lowbrador"- a mix between a Labrador.....and a Dachshund.

Very faithful little creature- just as peculiar looking as you can imagine.

Hope you got a big yard. Those dogs are highly energetic and smart.

You should train it on speedball.
