The kid chose this act of mass murder.

Maybe having adults simply being dumb fricking mouthbreathers and simply repeating over and over that "these kids today are pussies" like you did is part of the problem.....

The kid had mental problems. Was going through treatment. And the parents still allowed him easy access to a high powered rifle.

They are a part of the problem here.

Who was taking care of this kid then? Or is he of age?

This has always been a weird argument for me. I'm not saying it should be changed, but you do realize just because something is in the Constitution doesn't mean it's there forever right? Our Constitution has changed. Kind of a lot

What changes have been made that directly impact and limit the first ten amendments in the US Constitution? You know, the ones specifically called out in the BILL OF RIGHTS? Maybe the argument is weird to you because you simply don't know what you are talking about.

Dumb because of the millions of people who play/listen to this and don't become dangers to society.

Reading through this thread saddens me.

Pages and pages of people calling each other names and fighting about whether guns or mental health or something else is the problem.

The problem is a devaluation of life in our society. That stems from a lack of growing up in a loving environment.

The pages of this thread are full of instant disregard for opposing positions, defensiveness and vile hate speech.

This, in and of itself, is the problem.

Not guns. Not mental health.

Lack of respect for your fellow human being.

Just because changes haven't been made to them in the past doesn't mean they can't be made to them in the future. Even the first amendment could be changed with the appropriate steps. Second amendment too. Again, I'm not arguing that they should but to just act like they're 100% bulletproof is ridiculous because they simply aren't.

No, I'm saying let's talk about the societal issues at play that are causing people of all ages to become so detached from society that they feel shooting up a crowd is the solution, rather than just saying something ignorant like "kids these days are just pussies"

I agree with this and would also argue kicking God out of school doesn’t help the matter.

There were dozens upon dozens of school shootings before God was taken out of school.

LINK

I'd argue that the media attention given to shooters in the modern 24 hour news cycle is much more of a factor.

Can you really tell me it would've been difficult to ID this kid beforehand.

This part of the story is really troublesome. Seems odd that the FBI couldn't figure out who he was. I wonder how hard they tried. I'd like to know what action was taken to attempt to identify him.
