On the CNN home page it's behind 19 stories and 2 ads
I have it as the first story after the midterms, which has the top of the page.

It's the 52nd link on MSNBC homepage
Also have this on the front page.
No need to scroll for either story. They're very prominent on the first page.
lol why did this upset people?

It was Va. Tech that had the Asian shooter in Virginia.

Remind me, how much news play did the Charlottesville incident from a few years ago get? Also remind me, which one involved more deaths?

Correct. It IS pathetic. It is worse than pathetic.
Everything you quoted above is sadly correct. If this doesn't fit the media narrative, this will be buried by tomorrow and none of these lives will matter.
If the shooter was a cop or white.....
Well, this is the part where every groomer pretends that to live in an alternate reality.
Nah, what's pathetic is this kind of divisiveness. Give it a frickin break.

Has it been mentioned that one of the players who was shot but survived graduated from Uhigh?

Our current President still talks about it to this day, while reminding us that white people are responsible for things like this.

quote:Nah...This is a case involving College sporting activities.
This one will be memory holed with the quickness.
It rates an extra 10 pts for the MSM interest factor.
If it were just local resident shenanigans or Honors Dorm incidents, MSM interest factor is not applied.

It's almost even worse.
If you were following the story this morning, the news was
"UVA football player shot" and his name, position and that he played on Saturday. Two others killed (no names) and others shot but survived (no names).
Then, wowser, it turned out three football players were shot, and ESPN got more interested. (They were the one to break that the shooter was a freshman on the team in 2018.)(Still no mention by name of the survivors, there names were HERE on OT long before they appeared elsewhere.)
Finally the story of all five coming back by bus and being shot on the bus (maybe).
But that a football player was shot was really important, and the others, yeah, they got shot and a couple died.
It bothered me then, and it still bothers me.

It’s pretty fricking disgusting that some politicians jump on Twitter to give their condolences followed up with a statement about how we need better gun reform. Just shut the frick up and send you best to the families.

I think to solve issues we need to get to the root of it.
Take asian hate, we were so close to a new movement, but then it was black dudes doing it and it went away.
The federal government continues to infringe on our constitutional right, yet they don’t even accurately portray gun violence in America.

What a waste of several very expensive educations.
UVA is a state school. It’s not expensive.

Taking a gun to a Sunday play…had to be premeditated.
25 students on bus and just athletes die.
This is an odd one. With 25 students nobody had talked about details yet??

Of course CNN did..

Sunday's shooting is the University of Virginia's latest high-profile run-in with violence: White nationalists in August 2017 marched across campus carrying torches and chanting racist slogans. A day later, demonstrators protesting Charlottesville's plan to remove a statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee clashed with counterprotesters, one of whom was killed when a man drove his car into a crowd; that driver is serving life in prison.

University of Virginia/Undergraduate tuition and fees
In-state tuition 19,244 USD,
Out-of-state tuition 53,626 USD
The alleged shooter was in-state, the victims were all out-of-state.

I'm just curious as to when BLM will start blocking the interstate. Anyone know? You know, since 3 young black men were clearly targeted and murdered in cold blood. Really seems like BLM should get involved.
In all seriousness this is tragic and these young men's lives mattered. Too bad it doesn't fit the narrative so this story will go away quickly.

Not what you would expect to read about an accused murderer
Probably because UVA has an unofficial reputation as being a "public Ivy-league school."

The alleged perp's Father was still a part of his life, according to an interview in the Daily Mail
His Father also said his son said people were picking on him

Jones Sr. said he separated from his wife and son when Jones Jr. was still a young boy. But when Jones Jr. stopped getting on with his mother, he moved in with Jones Sr. and his grandmother in Petersburg.
There, he played football for Petersburg High School and 'excelled', Jones Sr. said, telling the news outlet that he was 'everyone's friend'. 'Everybody loved Chris, and he had a movie star smile he would flash,' he said.
