Going shooting right now. Got an mp5, uzi, vp9, and a 5.7 with me. Going up to my land to shoot.
Tell me again how I’m the downfall of the country

We are entering into a dark time in our country’s history. Years of treating personalities with drugs and lazy parenting with drugs are manifesting themselves with tragic consequences. Americans need to wake the frick up and deal with their problems and raise their children correctly.
Guns are definitely a part of the problem but they are the final step in the equation. We have to correct the steps parents and children are taking that lead to the school shootings as well.
Fix the cultural issue and these other symptoms will drastically reduce.

lsupride87.....this country has been awash in firearms since forever
If your assertion is true that guns are directly to blame, why was the prevalence of school shoots is low in the past? School shootings have increased in prevalence only in the last 15 to 20 years.

What other Constitutional rights would you to like to place certain restrictions on? Perhaps we should give police the ability to conduct random searches on people who haven’t completed background checks? Maybe you would also ban ‘hate speech’? Enlighten us.
just that one...
to act like the Constitution hasn't or can't be amended is ridiculous and you should know that...
it's also ridiculous to think that certain types of weapons just shouldn't end up in just ANYONE'S hands... again, nothing would really change for normal law abiding citizens, other than having a few more hoops to jump through to own whatever weapon your little heart desires... but if those hoops deny a possible mentally unstable individual from being able to acquire it, then it worked...
shite, at this point, what Chris Rock said makes a lot of sense and would be much better than what we currently have... make the ammunition a frick ton more expensive...

Alright a-hole. You still wont answer my question but here you go:
A gun is a weapon. Social media is not.
A 10 year old doesn't "break the law" if he smokes, the parents break the law for child endangerment. Never seen a 10 year old arrested for smoking
I have no opinion on this
A vehicle is a weapon. Social media is not.
frick it why not. Just not the adult "boot camp" shite. If you got a kid raised by meth heads why not let them choose a better life?

You think this is a joke. That’s why you’re the problem. What if that was YOUR kid

103 million guns and gun crime is at one of its lowest rates in decades. Maybe the amount of guns isn't the problem?
Also, guns are tools. You don't take a pistol to go turkey hunting. You don't a .30-06 to go rabbit hunting. Each gun has a purpose. It's only logical to have more than one gun if you have multiple uses for one.
Agreed, they're excelling at killing. I fully understand all of the reasons you should be allowed to own guns.
My point is that of all the tools you can use to commit mass murder, the tool of choice in the US is guns. Why guns? Well, because they're really good at their job and they're not hard to find/get.

Directly proportional to the decrease in students bringing shotguns to school in their back glass

School shootings have increased in prevalence only in the last 15 to 20 years.
What has changed since then?
I agree with the overall stance that social media is the problem. It has a resulting affect of increased depression and mental illness.
I can’t think of anything else that appeared so suddenly during that time period.

Kind of a stretch there. I'd say media coverage did more harm. Clearly the jump after 2008ish can be tied to social media.

Again, you said 36 of the mass shootings since 1988 had anti-depressants involved.
There have been what, hundreds?
So the 10% of Americans on anti-depressants matches the % of mass shooters. That is not causation.
Mental illness is definitely a play, but not anti-depressants themselves.
