Something like 10% of the population is on anti-depressants (even higher for white people). How many mass shootings have there been since 1988? I would have to believe a frick ton more than 36.

I'm as guilty of anyone in thinking that the "black community" needs to sort its shite out from a violence perspective.

Maybe it's time for some introspection here. I don't think the white community is a thing, we don't have a shared history, but there is a common pattern of kids that keep going on murderous rampages. We all respond by saying it's guns or mental health or social media.

In reality, it's probably us. We're letting these kids fall through the cracks and often we're not doing enough to tell authorities when that happens.

Idk, it's hard to blame these issues when the US violent crime rate has fallen for nearly 30 years and is as low today as it was in the early 1970s. It's difficult to blame music and video games too.

School shootings by students are a unique issue.

I can and did answer the question. It’s not a gun problem. It’s not even a mental heatlh problem. It’s a heart problem. Namely, these kids have no love in their heart because they’ve never been taught to love. They have no humanity. They don’t value any life except their own. People are seen as nothing more than things. They have no moral foundation built on the bedrock of God’s commandment to love Him and love one another. They have no sense of right and wrong because the adults in their life have taught them that right and wrong is “subjective”. Do what you want. We sowed the seeds of this generation and now those seeds are starting to bear fruit. We made these kids. We did it because we have turned our back on our own moral foundation and now live on the shifting sands of moral relativism.

Unless we recognize the fact it’s not a gun problem or even a mental health problem but instead it’s a heart problem, things will only get worse.

So there’s your answer. You probably won’t like it and will probably reject it because it requires you to check yourself and see your own faults in your own heart. I’m just as guilty as anyone. But it’s true. And deep down inside even if you won’t admit it, you know it’s true.
