I've watched the NAACP destroy public school districts in Louisiana when they had no real stake in the issue

The Justice Department does the same bullshite, busting up school districts to appease some random "diversity" numbers they set. It's as if it never occurred to them people like to live in areas that are culturally similar to themselves. It has nothing to do with racism or discrimination. So now, kids have to add 20 minutes or so of travel time to go to a school where most of their friends do not. Neither side wanted the change.

I wouldn't say very. At their core, both are organizations that only care about the advancement/benefit of a certain race.

The naacp works to elevate and protect a historically disenfranchised people by incorporating them into the mainstream. The kkk wants to segregate white people from other races - particularly black. If anything the kkk would be more like the noi.

Meh, Zachary stayed out of the fray bc it was too far north. Never had any real busing up there. The Baker school System is the one that really got destroyed by EBRPSS and Parker.

Present day klansman are not violent unless they are antagonized for which they will only defend themselves. This is a fair comparison - but of course the African Americans and liberals will yell racism like they always do.

With all do respect, every race has been historically disenfranchised. Hell, just take a look at Jews in the 1940s or Irish Catholics in the mid 1800s. Regardless, any group that looks to "advance" another race is part of the problem we face in society. We can all dwell on the wrongs of the past or move forward. This continuing process of classifying yourself only pulls negative feelings to the front of your mind.

Almost all of our ancestors came about under conditions of the powerful inflicting their will and controlling them. We've all been in the same boat at one point or another. I understand the the historical significance of the struggle of African Americans in America, but at this point, this continued focus on race is counterproductive to the end goal. Continuing to pit races against each other will just lead to more turmoil and dysfunction.

The sheriff is an idiotic a-hole.
The NAACP never lynched anyone. The KKK did.
The NAACP doesn't believe that blacks are superior to whites. The KKK believes that whites are superior.
There's a world of difference between a hate group and a group that wants to see members of its race get a shot at good jobs, decent places to live, good schools and the right to vote. And if you don't realize that, you're a stupid a-hole too.

I dont think he was refering to the history of either organization, but more or less saying that he doesnt believe people should align themselves by race.

I do think he used poor judgement in even equating the KKK and NAACP and would have been better served by just saying, "I would like to see people treat each other with respect and judge individuals on their own merit."
