those are already on staff most are in Houston DC and NY

Because the CEO is staying based in New Orleans the amount of economic benefit she brings to our New Orleans is negligible compared to what's happening in Houston

that's my fricking point,,, until she gets car jacked

Shell US President basically makes public appearances, goes to Washington DC to testify if needed, meets for some big contract negotiations.

The position doesn't really make any tactical decisions,

You're getting downvotes, but it's true.

There are VPs over manufacturing and exploration and their direct reports. These people set direction for asset management the future of Shell.

No where in this mix is Gretchen.

They are supposed to be building a new office in that area north of the Convention Center, but that’s been delayed for a long while now due to BS:.

She gets to stay in her hometown as the CEO of one of the biggest oil companies in the GOA and not have to move to Houston....that's a win/win

check out her LinkedIn. Her career growth is pretty crazy. Up until 2014 it seems like she was an individual contributor. 11 years later she’s US President

Though Shell's North American headquarters is in Houston, Hirstius will remain in New Orleans, making her the first president of Shell USA based here, according to Cindy Babski, a company spokesperson.

Why would the president not be based at headquarters?

I understand it more when it’s the owner like with Cane’s, but an employee of a major company I don’t agree with.

Are any other positions or employees moving from the headquarters to New Orleans?

There really isn’t much difference between the Houston and Nola offices for Shell. Not a big deal as others have noted

They have already started construction on new building. Her husband went to Jesuit played football at Tulane they are New Orleans people This is good for New Orleans and Louisiana I know people are always looking for negatives There are people who would prefer to live in NewOrleans over Houston. I know that is a shock to many on the OT board
