I’m hearing Shell is moving all in on drilling in the US. Heard Geismar and all other entities outside of the drilling sector will be put up for sale.

They are all in on deepwater drilling and LNG plays.
Yes the articles leaked a few weeks ago that they were looking to all their chemical assets:

she already lived in Nola. She doesn’t want to move. When you’re king/queen, you do what you want.

She’s not relocating from Houston or The Netherlands to Nola

But what if she can still get all her work done from home? - quote by people who will never be a CEO.

It’s basically as meaningless as the next pope.

Given the shell headquarters are in Houston and she’s staying to work In new Orleans she’s remote working and might as well be working from home

I know you guys wont believe it, but the slots in NO are coveted to the point they have had to initiate a system that fairly allocates the slots across the company. When the call came for volunteers to move to TX there weren't many.

Shell is a multinational right? if you are an engineer from France or Italy the last place on the planet you want to live is Houston TX.

^^^^^^
This is so true ...

I worked for Shell Oil , both in Houston, TX and New Orleans ...

the difference is astronomical
Even though working for Shell is super sweet
Working for Shell in New Orleans is the best

Yes, actually I do. So does anyone who is even a little bit familiar with the history of the company over the last 30+ years.

Shell US President basically makes public appearances, goes to Washington DC to testify if needed, meets for some big contract negotiations.

The position doesn't really make any tactical decisions, I just wonder what Gretchen was being paid since Colette can keep running GoA assets and do this.

People that are awesome @ their job are hard to find.

They make the rules and Corporate will acquiesce.

If she wants to live in NOLA, she'll live in NOLA and nobody will say shite.

Shell’s HQ are in London, not Houston
(Not The Hague, NL either).

Htown is America’s hub only

Talent dictates terms.

I doubt anyone asked het to relocate, especially in 2025.
