I get people raising hell because she is a piece of shite but I really dont see the problem with a mayor of a large city flying first class. She is basically a ceo of a entity with a budget of 100’s of millions of dollars.

b/c it's not her money dumbass.
She isn't a CEO, she's a public servant.
When you're a CEO, you get to decide how you spend YOUR companies money. And you know what happens to CEO's who don't know how to run a company? they aren't CEO anymore.
When you're a public servant, you don't get to decide what lavish luxuries you want to waste your constituents money on. If New Orleans was a bustling city that everyone was proud of and didn't complain about all the things that need monetary attention to fix, then sure, go fly first class if it's within the budget, you deserve it.
And even if New Orleans was a first class run city, you don't get there by wasting money on flying first class as the leader.

I think this is the thing.
Maybe the mayor deserves to fly first class.
We can't afford it.
So when you can't afford things, there has to be cutbacks.
If her "travel budget" can afford this... then the council did a terrible job setting the budget.

and whether or not you agreed with it, the statue removals were what a lot of the residents wanted so a lot of people were happy even though it's only a symbolic gesture. literally no one asked for a weird fro pick so even her PR puff piece failed

That's the thing. This lady is probably flying around so much she is earning upgrades. She shouldn't be out of the city more than maybe once or twice a year on business. She isn't CEO of some multi national corporation with offices all over the world. She is the damn mayor of NOLA. Stay your arse in NOLA and do your job.
