Probably the only movie that comes real close to truthfully showing possession is Nefarious.
And the producers of Nefarious got their ideas from Fr. Ripperger, or so he claims.

He ends up saying shite like “oh wow. And then what?” He sucks.
He is great for letting people say whatever they want; these aren't interviews that are just people talking essentially uninterrupted about whatever they want.
He never seriously challenges anything, and his questions are "tell me about that" and "what happened with that". I you got a transcriptit of his podcasts more than half of what he says is probably "oh" "un huh" "yeah"

Cool. Now explain why Protestant preachers call Catholic Priests when they encounter possession?
I have never heard of this happening. EVER!
No pastor who is a true man of God is calling a Catholic shaman to swing incense and chant. They are going to pray to the Almighty in the name of Jesus Christ. That is how you chase away a demon.

About an hour and half in. Great show. I’ve been a big fan of Fr. Ripperger for sometime. He doesn’t sugar coat anything.

Glad to know that your authority of it happening or not settles the issue entirely.
We can rest easy now.

After lunch I'll listen to the 2nd half and report back later.
The 2nd half was pretty boring. Not worth reporting on.

Those are Pentecostals. Wait until they start speaking in tongues and rolling on the floor.
No, a regular Protestant service looks like this.
So, WTF is this? Costume party at Halloween?

I have NEVER, EVER heard of a pastor calling a Catholic priest to do an excorcism, and neither have you or anybody else in here.
Maybe someone claiming to be a minister, but not a real one.

Fr Ripperberger makes all the podcast rounds,
Hmm. Would you say it's coordinated?

That is a TV preacher "mega-church".
"JESUS LOVES YOU PLENTY, SEND ME A TWENTY!"
They don't call Catholic priests to do exorcisms either.

I wish he would push back on his guest. He’ll never let it be known that he doesn’t believe the guest. Ever. Sometimes, you have to be able to call bullshite bullshite.
Shawn Ryan has become one of my favorite podcasters specifically because he just lets the other person tell their story and perspective.
I don’t need to agree with the person I just like to hear them out.

He said this?
quote:None of that has happened. He is being fantastical.
(Possession) is exceedingly rare, but it does exist. And when it does exist, you witness things that are outside of human capacity. Possessed people will speak languages they have never learned. You may see levitation, which is rare. The possessed may change shape or have cult knowledge that is beyond our capacity. We are not talking about something that is purely natural.
quote:Well, this board is screwed.
Rippergar also argued that behaviors such as "premarital sex, watching pornography, consuming drugs or alcohol and even playing video games" make individuals more susceptible to demonic influence.

I grew up three blocks from the Highland Park Baptist Church. It was a regular Baptist church...with a 6000 seat sanctuary that was filled to the brim every Sunday.
It sat on the campus of a Baptist seminary, Tennessee Temple University.

Unlike the hive mind that is the Catholic Church, “Protestant” is a big (circus) tent with a lot of clowns and carnival barkers. Mainline Protestants do not consult with catholics on any spiritual matters, other than Salvation without the “church” and the Preisthood of the Believer.
I’m not a loser. I was, however, lost, but now I’m found.
Christ plus nothing = everything
Christ plus anything = nothing

I’ve definitely heard of it being done, just not from someone I know personally.
