I am Baptist. So of course there is a lot, a loooot, of Catholic theology that I reject. But, does that mean Catholics aren't Christian? Not really. There are good Christ serving Catholics and they are no doubt followers of Christ. Then there are Catholics who are anything but saved; they rely on mass and rituals to ensure salvation while never submitting to Christ in the least and that don't work. Same can be said for Baptists.
I agree. I'm not Catholic. Never was. But I did grow up in church. Wife is a life-long Catholic, attends mass every week, both kids attended private Catholic school all the way through. They're obviously Catholic as well. There's a lot I don't understand about Catholicism. Seems very ritualistic and choreographed. But I've always felt that it's not for me to judge. That's between them and the Good Lord.

The rituals and behavior is the part I miss most about the church

The risk of “walk this way” is it can create a comfort zone, instead of being led by the Spirit of God on a personal basis of faith. Not saying it’s wrong, but it can be seductive.

I listened to the show.
That priest had just about everything covered by demons possession.
Part of me thinks he is full of crap, but I’m not sure enough of that to bet against him!

Shawn Ryan is so lane and boring. Sits there like he’s so intellectual and introspective but then when he tries to ask a question, he can barely form a sentence. He ends up saying shite like “oh wow. And then what?” He sucks.
Geez... some guy on a message board calling a former SEAL and CIA operator dumb! Clown world!
You should start a podcast and show em how it's done baw!

Catholics are heretics and therefore teach a doctrine of demons. They are not casting out anything.
How far up the ladder as a Catholic or a Freemason do you go before you realize who you’re actually serving?

I'm not Catholic but this man is based and has a wealth of knowledge regarding the supernatural forces around us and intermingling with our world.

I’ve never heard of this priest before, it was a great episode. Also, I was caught off guard when he was talking about how the Jews are not chose one… he mentioned that the Jews had one generation after Christ’s resurrection to become Christian’s and if not then their time was lost. When I have time I need to go down that rabbit hole and see what others say about that.

Really interesting you say that and I agree.
Personal theory here, but I think he’s a CIA asset. His podcast took off like crazy and was all over my feed. He got hyper boosted in the algorithm for no reason and he came out of nowhere two or three years ago. And of course he use to work for the CIA.
I think his job is to get certain guest on and let them drive storylines. Because you’re right - he doesn’t know how to ask a good question yet he got boosted like crazy.
I remember thinking the same thing first time I watched one of his interviews at the request of a friend. The guest was interesting, but something was off about Shawn. terrible interviewer. asked dumb questions. I couldn't understand how he was getting the high profile guests. I think you're on to something with the asset theory

Christians are God’s Chosen, full stop

For some reason I’ve never thought of it in that terms but I agree with you 100%.

I’ve not listened to this one yet but I will soon. I’ll update after I do.
The topic of exorcism is tough for me to believe until I see it with my own eyes. That said, I’ve listened to several of these podcast and they tell some wild stories. Absolutely wild.
Someone very close to me tells a story of being a child and seeing a persons eyes changing shapes into snake eyes for a few seconds.. Severial of the kids saw it..
I believe, but not convinced.
If you want to see a less sensationalist take on exorcism, I encourage you to watch this video from Pints with Aquinas a few years ago. Father Lampert goes into detail about how the Church approaches the ministry and dispels a lot of things people think of when they see the words "possession, Exorcist, etc.."
In summary the movies are just that, movies. Most of them take great liberty with the topic to produce entertainment. Probably the only movie that comes real close to truthfully showing possession is Nefarious.

A priest friend of mine was an exorcists assistant while in the seminary in Rome. He saw some stuff that was insanely scary. No explanation except possession. shite movies get made out of.
I have a similar story. A good friend was a former seminarian who has a PhD in Greek and Latin. The Archdiocese would bring him in to translate things that were said during exorcisms. He told me there was no way the people saying these things could know the language they were speaking.

If you are not saved you will be after this show.
LOL, no.
I have 20 yards of soil to spread across my property, so I decided to listen to the audio while I worked this morning. I'm two hours in.
Pretty entertaining so far, in a comedic way.
The dude blames demons for musical earworms. He says a curse was placed very early on in the history of the recorded music industry.
And you Catholics will love this part. He says the Catholic church hierarchy is "morally compromised at the highest levels" by practitioners of the occult. Later on, he absolved the pope by saying "not at the highest level", but implied that numerous cardinals, archbishops, and bishops are involved.
BUT, he said he has no obligation to out them or try to do anything about it. Wow!
After lunch I'll listen to the 2nd half and report back later.

In the podcast in the OP, Fr. Ripperger said that the "angel" Moroni, who provided the golden plates to Joseph Smith, was a demon.

I think he fashions himself as a modern-day Art Bell.

Because, if she does, Fr. Ripperger says she is committing a "mortal sin".
