She'll win too. Baton Rouge votes along racial lines.
Policy never even factors in.

Murphy was worried for a minute there.

A new mayor may have walked into his office and realized he's a complete fricking retard. So 4 more years of coloring in his office it is

Best we can probably do is E Eric Guerard running again as a dodge to his ability to advertise his law offices.

And I'm sure she'll win, because the locals love crime & misery. This town is one big joke written by morons.

Gonzales had a drive by murder at Park Place. I was there just minutes after it happened.

Need another Kip Holden type to run against her. Probably the only hope.

Used to see him on Essen a lot with his car with a personalized plate of E and stickers of “E - The Lawyer” on the back.

This was before he got suspended / disbarred for a long time.

How much does it actually cost to run? Let's do a gofundme for the sadvocate guy to run

Well her abilities are obviously lacking.

I'm considering voting for Gravy.

The last go-around, the republican challenger that spent the most money got less than 10% of the primary vote.

If I thought there was any real path to victory, I would be running now.

I've given up on a legit candidate winning anything here, just throw a straight troll candidate out there

That would be a complete waste of money. Her incompetence is on display every day in BR. Look at the record homicide rate. Look at the bums. Look at the tire tread donut-marks on every major surface street in BR AND even the fricking Interstate. Look at the amount of businesses leaving BR and the lack of any entering the city/parish. It is all plainly evident without any need for someone to waste their time and money to "attack her tenure".

The issue is nearly half the parish doesn't care about all of the above and will simply vote for her again. When murder, incompetence, street racing, lack of economic production, and general lawlessness are not viewed as unacceptable concerns/impediments to a functioning society, but rather a normal aspect of everyday life, there is no reason to push for a change in leadership.

Not sure yet. Watson’s “scandals” buried him last time (which is a shame since he was the most competent and conservative candidate).

Piazza might run again if he didn’t waste too much family money the first time. He was a really good speaker, at least.

There are no metro council folks that I know of considering a run. There’s some discussion with various republican members of the legislature, but none seem to be biting at the “opportunity”.

If I had to guess, it will be some political “outsider” from the business community or Jay Dardenne. He’s been approached by a lot of folks to run for mayor.

If Shreveport can elect a Republican mayor, so can BR.
