My front yard looks like tornado passed, front doors blow open, rain came in, monstrous branches on house and yard, 2 big ones almost came through window. For 30 seconds,I was more scared than Gustav. Thought my upstairs walls were shaking and running in underwear to get downstairs in hallway.

If you're okay, is it alright if I laugh? I got a chuckle out of reading that.

Probably because you weren't here for Katrina. There were tornadoes all day long

Thats not necessarily a tornado because the radar site is in Slidell. So you're getting a look at like 5000 ft up. Now, that certainly had the potential to drop one, because you see the signature as clear as I do.

Fair, but the little blue ball or so around Gardere is what makes it seem pretty clear, or at least appear to be clear.

The main point is that saying the tornado warnings are just straight line wind warnings is absurd.

Electricity has been out for a half hour here in South Denham. It was pretty sporty for a while. Hope that's the end of it.
First time I've had my generator come on since I built my house. Glad it works.. I need some sleep. Stay safe everyone!

The thunder is so continuous I don't even think I could hear a nado right now. I even had to turn my satellite to standard definition

That's why I said "basically all". There have been quite a few T-warnings but almost all are just straight line

The tornado warnings are not straight line wind warnings. They can be associated with thunderstorm straight line winds, sure, but they're radar indicated tornadoes, which are not straight line winds.

Shenandoah. Legit scared me, for real. Went out with flashlight. Huge branches everywhere, one butted up against my front door. I'll have to make a path out my driveway to go to work. It's blocked. I've got some water in my house. Front door blew open, and it was locked and chained. I heard shite slamming front of house . Hope it was just branches.

I'll put it to you this way, I'd of warned the f out of that if I was the NWS and saw that signature. I agree with your analysis, just adding in the caveat.
