Since I moved from Oklahoma City to New Orleans 13 years ago, I’ve been out of the severe weather game. In the hours and hours I spent watching weather coverage in my 22 years in OK, I don’t recall hearing Gary England talk about “debris balls” in radar imagery. Is this something new?
To be fair, advancements in radar over the past 10 years have made it much easier to accurately spot debris and TDS on radar. Gary would have used the hell out of it in his prime.

The bottom half of the squall in Louisiana is looking nasty. That's something to watch when those cells get around Natchez. You can already see the cells out front at the latitude of DeRidder between DeRidder and Bunkie firing good.

Your boy is skiing today, hows the outbreak going thus far?

Some of my ancestors were from Fair River, MS. That looks to be right in that area.

First a baby during hurricane season....and now a ski trip during a High Risk day? What the hell, baw?

Yeah, looks to be crossing over I-65 just below Clanton. Should get some pictures of it soon, I would think.

It's not a trip so much, living in Colorado until July when my wife's company drags us back to Louisiana. We got 4" of snow yesterday and more at the local ski area.

Can't hide money!
They are just getting fired up. One looks to be tracking just north of me.

Have they put the "Tornado Emergency" tag on that storm yet?

Alright, we will allow it. I guess.

If it damages the Jack's in Clanton, I'm gonna be pissed.

Not sure why, but my parents flight from Pittsburgh to Dallas decided to just fly right around that tornadic cell in Central Alabama.
Their new flight path is taking them almost down to the coast and due west to Dallas from there.
