NWS basically saying the line in BR right now will likely get strong as it moves west.
ETA - shite, just realized I said west. Meant east.

I’m really not. It’s just I’ve seen this cycle so many times and I give them shite every time they do this cause it’s rather predictable. It’s all meant in fun though.
The weather nerds here are pretty insightful and I do actually pay attention to what they say. I just think it’s funny when they get it so wrong for BR.
It’s like a sitcom or something.
But they are doing the best they can and I respect that. Eventually they’ll get one right and I’ll have to eat crow.
@Slack and all the other weather geeks, Im just fricking with y’all. Don’t take it too seriously.

Whats the over/under of deaths for the OT to think the warnings were worth it? These kind of systems are extremely hard to predict and most tornados are pretty isolated events anyway so just because it isnt bad at your house doesnt mean it isnt at someone elses. Last weekend all I saw was bitching and moaning about how it was all hype but at least 3 people died that I know of as a result of the weather and numerous tornados caused property damage.

Louisiana DOES overeact to certain weather conditions... WHY??? W will never knw.... BUT this storm could have put people in danger..... sometimes its better to take A caution....

Less than 30min of rain with some rumbles of thunder. Didn’t even get a quarter inch of rain for the entire “event”

What's your point? You think you could have driven across LA without encounterint severe weather today?

I'm at the point now that for severe weather threats, we just let two or three folks (depending on if tornado or hurricane related)just post and lock the thread from others. It's like a fcking nimrod party on here when things don't turn out at the most severe of the predictions.

i don't consider this south la event "severe" weather dude
