Nobody eats the chicken salad or the egg salad sandwiches. Those are always the ones left behind.

We've been having these at the family get togethers on my dad's side of the family for the past few years. Things are ridiculous. They disappear fast. My little a-hole cousin was eating more than his share and blaming me.

You're right, they do disapper quick. They're best when made on those skinny rolls, Sunbeam maybe?, that you buy on the bread isle, in those flimsy aluminum pans.

I first had them back in the late 80s-early 90s, at some kind of church function when I was a kid. Then I hadn't had any for years until this woman brought them to a work thing 5+ years ago and reminded me of them. So I tell the Misses about them and have her fix them, typically during football season she will make them more often. I don't know what made me think of them just now in this thread, but now I want a sandwich for supper, specifically a large, hot Italian hoagie with extra hot peppers (from a local joint called Pizza Chef) for supper tonight.

They are legit. I could eat an entire pan (that the rolls come in) right now.

I will eat chicken salad sandwiches as long as it's from a fresh cooked chicken and not some canned shite full of sodium and other preservatives.

I also personally make a mean tuna salad.

I have made so many finger sandwiches. Worked for my aunt in college when she owned a catering company. Those four were the favorites.

Something I've always wondered about finger sandwiches is why when I make myself two regular sandwiches, it fills me up, but I can down a whole tray of little triangle finger sandwiches in one sitting which equals about two whole loaves of bread.

In a 100 sandwich order, you would have 40 ham, 30 turkey, 20 roast beast, and 5 each of chicken and egg salad.

Never had them for a funeral, but they may be the death of me.

Eta. I've had them on Hawaiian rolls, which I like, but I strongly prefer them on the skinny white rolls in the aluminum pan. The pan is good too because you just cover it in foil and put them in the oven to cook them.

Damn I wish she would hurry up and bring home dinner. And she's going to have to cook these frickers this weekend.
