How is he publicly humiliated? He informed people he was gay. He had a rude tweet directed towards him that almost everyone believes was inappropriate. I've not seen one person say it should have happened. In that, everyone is on his side. Where is the humiliation?

A tweet from your employer’s account calls you a f@g, for their 40k twitter followers to see, and you don’t think that can be humiliating and embarrassing? Lol wut

People wonder why social relations are fricked in America. You have a gay man telling you how he feels, and you waste energy trying to fight against it. And I have no doubt if this was a black man being called a slur you’d be doing the same thing. The simple lack of compassion, understanding & acceptance for your fellow man is sad.

No thinking human being saw that tweet and thought 'oh that's what his employer - THE CORPORATE ENTITY OF WWL - actually thinks about this guy.'

Everyone is on his side with regards to the tweet. What is humiliating about that? Again, everyone is on HIS side. Nobody believes WWL as his employer endorses the tweet.

This is a ridiculous extrapolation and a strawman to make you feel better. AGAIN, everyone is on his side with regards to the tweet.

He used the Southern Poverty Law Center as an example of a reputable source of information regarding someone being a hate group.

His feelings don't outweigh his CLEAR bias in his position and his CLEAR unwillingness to accept the obvious fact that Drew Brees wasn't saying ANYTHING negative about homosexuality and instead, was pushing a narrative that he was.

No one said that. But they still hold some responsibility for failure to create an inclusive work environment. They still hold responsibility for lack of control of this account. It doesn't make it any less embarrassing for Dunlap.

It used to be a nice escape from having to hear about money 24 / 7. Fricker robbed me of that years ago, though.

Ok, let's break this down and i will help you understand.

When you say you are on his side, what does that mean to you?

And just to take this further, I don't believe his feelings.

Consider two scenarios:

* An employer tweets something calling a young woman who works as a secretary in the office the N word.

* Someone with an ESPN account tweets something calling Jemele Hill the N word while she was employed there.

The former would absolutely be offended, negatively affected, and humiliated.

The latter would be counting the ways that she could cash in on the opportunity.

Honestly ask yourself which situation we are dealing with here. It's obvious. He was already taking a very recent, very public stance on the homosexuality issue and was doing it by trying to twist what Drew Brees did.

That is a dangerous assumption. Is he cashing in or is he using his position to advocate? I assume you are a straight male, I can see why you couldn't appreciate that.

He’s a sports talk radio DJ.

He should find a better platform.

Dunlap has been openly gay for years now and decided to voice how he felt on the issue. I don't think he was using his platform to "cash in" on controversy .

Furthermore, WWL is losing a very qualified dude on their station. Which is pretty rare for that station.

In what universe?

If his employer actually did it he should be humiliated, sue, take a leave of absence.

Some random troll or hacker? Who fricking cares. Laugh and move on with your life.

This dude is milking in. It’s embarrasing for him. But expected in the totally pussified millinial mindset.

I read it.

Brees pushed the bring a bible to school event.

He was attacked.

Brees responded by explicitly clearing the air:

quote:

It was not promoting any group. Certainly not promoting any group that was associated with that type of behavior. Because I know that, unfortunately, there are Christian organization that are involved in that kind of thing, and to me that’s against what being a Christian is all about.”

Dunlap summarily dismissed that and went on a multi-paragraph diatribe discussing how hard it is to be gay and how much shame he's had in his life. Keep in mind, Brees had EXPLICITLY taken a stance stating he's not anti-LGBTQ. He did it very quickly and without doubt.

That's wasn't good enough for Dunlap. I think we know why. Dunlap wants to use this for his own gain to push an agenda he feels is important.

This is very easy to see.

If you heard what Drew said, it is a basic tenet of Christianity that we are accepting of those different from us. I'm not saying everyone does that, but we should. We are all fighting a battle, some battles are just more obvious than others.

You say " it is beside the point re: WWL". All most of us are saying is what would you have them do? They are certainly not in the business of publically humiliating their own employees.
