That’s the million dollar question and there really isn’t any good answers. Time is the only thing that makes it better. Don’t do anything stupid and try to make yourself better in the meantime. Be positive and know that at some point you’ll look back and really this had to happen to allow you to be in whatever happy and content place you end up. That day will come but you’re going to have some shitty ones in between.

Can you get any pics of her out with her new man?

If you do then you got some leverage and then she looks like the arse not only to her family but single horny females you may know. You see where I am going with this

I’m not a divorcee, but I’d get that out of the way as soon as possible. This isn’t a negotiation with the Ex. Text her you’re letting the cat out of the bag, and she needs to as well. You’re shunning the people who will always be there for you, and that will help you more than anyone on this board can.

Put your energy into something productive, particularly something in the self-improvement lane: new certification for work, the gym, finish a restoration, see a financial planner and plot out a new plan to be a trillionaire, yada yada yada

I am still really close with all 9f my ex's family even though we divorced 9 years ago. More than with her family than the ex. I can't stand the bitch.

Well, this could still be the case on his end, but he needs to tell his side of the family about the divorce, and it’s her responsibility to tell her side of the family.

The sad part is her family was always more "there for me" than my own.

I'm going to really miss spending time with her parents and all her cousins. Just great people all around.

How did you manage this?

Also, I may have a chance to make a big career move in a few months time, relocate to a new city not long after the likely divorce would be finalized. Has anyone on here ever done that? Started fresh in a new city after a divorce? If so, did it help or hurt?

Well, FLBooGoTigs1‘s post should give you some sort of a hope, although I don’t know your situation well enough to know if it’s a good idea.

Don't let her take another minute of your life. Get rid of that anger

Trust me she had that man for awhile now. Let her go and move on my man. Don't let her bring you down. Trust me it can be kinda fun watching her train wreck after the divorce. If you have kids take care of them first then take care of yourself next. Oh yeah hit some strange and you will be ok. Good luck

This. This. This. Same old story, only the names change. It happens all to often. Let her go and concentrate on you and your kids. Exercise does wonders for your physical and mental health in this situation. Good luck brother

Starting fresh sounds good. My brother did this. He divorced after a few years of marriage and thankfully no kids were involved. Just keep this last marriage in the back of your mind and maybe fix some things that you can do to make the next one work. Remember you can control what you do not always what the other person does. Divorce is just a part sometimes of that shitshow we call LIFE. Find happiness and enjoy it married or not.

Seen a lot of problems from parents, both divorced and non-divorced, with their kids. Just watched a family dealing with a 16 year old who has been charged with two felonies. Bleak situation... As a parent, you've got to get in front of this kind of BS.

Get over it, and be a parent for your kids and make them tow the line. Everyday. Kids need supervision, and they need a parent to show them how things should be done. The kids might act like you're an idiot, but that's your job. Embrace it, and coach them into how they can become responsible and productive adults.
