I’m a Purple Heart vet from the Iraq war. And I have no pride from that stupid decision. I did nothing to advance liberty for my neighbor. I was a pawn. I cringe when someone tells me “thank you for your service”. Even if I know their intentions are benign.
It’s why I don’t mention my time in the army to anyone I see in my daily life. I was part of the problem. I should not be thanked for anything.
Don’t repeat this cycle that only enriches multinational oligarchs.

I’m sooooo glad I get to pick between two senile octogenarians. Why can’t you Republicans elect someone with some credentials to handle something like this. What’s wrong with Tom Corton, was in the army, got a bronze star, went to Harvard for his BA and law school. Seems like a better choice than a TV host cult leader. Damn it!

I will admit publicly that they are way more scared of Trump than Biden as they think he is fricking nuts. But he had 4 years to take out the Iranians too and didn’t do shite but kill a treaty that sucked but everyone was pretending to follow.

I would venture to guess that you've never been in any branch of the military?
Being in the Army definitely isn't impressive. Being awarded a Bronze Star could be but I would have to read the accompanying citation. If it was awarded for merit, then I would probably feel like wiping my arse with it. I've seen Bronze Stars handed out like candy to officers, some of them never even left the wire!
As for a BA...who gives a shite? Also the same with law school.
