What a fricking travel nightmare with Labor right around the corner. This area is already under heavy construction to widen interstate 65 in both directions. Appears an 18 wheeler was hauling an excavator and the boom caught the bridge that crosses over the interstate.

How do these idiots not know the vertical clearance on their route on a major interstate for fricks sake?

What are the odds its another pajeet who isn't even supposed to be in the country and can't read English, but got a CDL issued by California?

I-65 from the Tennessee River bridge in Decatur to Evergreen is just cursed.

I have no idea what they are going to do with the southbound traffic. You can’t drive underneath that bridge. Only place to divert traffic is onto 31 but that’s a 2 lane road from alabaster to Calera

This happened once in Anchorage on the Eagle River overpass.

Was on the way to work, stuck in traffic 30 minutes away from the wreck...turned around and went home. Took months to fix.

They called in the bridge apocalypse

If they do have to close it for repairs I sure hope ALDOT doesn't contract out the losers working on Massey Road in Vestavia Hills. That stretch won't open until 2042.
