Self righteous veterans preaching "stolen valor" have finally crossed the line

A Marine Fallujah combat vet was jumped and beaten....by an active duty chair force airman. The airman was apparently too stupid to realize that the man was not in fact stealing any valor.

Someone ordered a code red.

The "chair force" is not known for beating down anyone. I suspect there is more to this story.

Anyone in ROTC for six months knows as much about a uniform than these idiots that go around looking for stolen valor.
Some of the more famous stolen valor "hero's" have been found to be full of shite themselves.
Yes, stealing Valor is pretty rotten, but now we have cases of these white knight servicemen doing more harm than these idiots impersonating servicemen.

I don't understand the fury over stolen valor (which is a misnomer - no one's valor is stolen, it's just someone trying to lie and create some of their own). I don't care, at all, what stories someone makes up about himself. Why do we worry about this stuff? There are so many other issues regarding Vets that are real issues, and they get no attention.

There are some that are idiots, but there are a great many doing good work out there for their brothers.
Stolen valor isn't just wearing a uniform and trying to look cool; these people do it to get free shite, con people, get jobs, etc.
You can ask pretty much anyone you know if they know or have a friend that is or was a Navy SEAL and they'll say yes. Sadly, their friends are lying. There's an old DEVGRU team leader and his wife doing great work outing fake SEALs.

It's actually a crime, there was a guy in Slidell arrested a week or so ago for it. Like I said before, these people are doing a lot more than just walking around in a uniform that's fricked up from alpha-zulu and making our service members look like fools.
A lot of good men and women died for those pieces of metal and ribbons on the uniform, it's disgracing the dead who died for you to have the privilege of posting on this forum right now without fear of censorship and all the other things that we, as Americans, take for granted.

I've come across a lot of awesome PJs and combat controllers in my time. The "chair force" gets a bad rap but a lot of folks don't realize that on all those big CAG and DEVGRU missions you hear about on the news, there's usually an airman or two fighting alongside them, the Bin Laden raid included.

No doubt, it's all good fun though.
Just like i'm quite sure not everyone in the navy is gay, that'd be a statistical impossibility. 90% probably... Everyone though, no.

They have no right to beat anyone's arse for "stolen valor". Expose them, but that's all that is required. Too many of these dipshits are crossing the line and most of the one's I've seen doing it or talking about it never saw real action. Generally, the dipshits most worried about stolen valor have little of their own.
