When all they see is grill and headlights in their rear views they usually move.

That's assuming they ever look in their rear view. Half the time, these people have both hands glued on their steering wheel and never so much as glance at any of their mirrors. Both of my in laws are like this. Drives me nuts.

“In 2009, Louisiana became one of those states that allows use of the left lane for passing only or for turning left. (R.S. 32:71) Let’s be clear, then, about the use of the left lane. In a “multi-lane” highway, It is for passing only. The law also includes the above rules about the left lane. Slow moving traffic, going under the speed limit, must stay in the right lane. Drivers cannot block other drivers from overtaking them and must move over. Drivers cannot drive slower than drivers in the right hand lane.”

The law specifically advises slower traffic to keep in the right lane

In Louisiana the law actually is that all traffic should keep right except to pass. It's an important distinction that everyone should contemplate. No matter how fast your're going, someone is always going to come up on you. If you're camped out in left driving 85, you're still doing it wrong. It's not the "fast lane."

LA RS 32.71
quote:

B.(1)(a) Upon all multilane highways, no vehicle shall be driven in the left-hand lane except when directed otherwise, preparing for a left turn at an intersection or private road or driveway, overtaking or passing another vehicle proceeding in the same direction, or when right-hand lanes are congested; however, no vehicle being driven in the left lane except when directed otherwise or preparing for a left turn at an intersection, private road, or driveway shall impede any other vehicle that is traveling in the same lane and behind that vehicle.

No. I do like to go a few below the speed limit in the left lane, then match speed with people trying to pass on the right

You're probably just playing OT, but there really are people who do this shite. Which is why I've stopped using my turn signal when I go to pass someone on the right. Way too many dicks who just speed up.

Not the ones I encounter daily driving through Nola east. They're usually on their phone and couldn't care less about what's going on around them.

You'd be the one screaming loudest when some other a-hole brake checks you.

I cannot stand left lane campers. It’s frustrating to watch someone park it in the left so people in the other right lanes now have drivers tailgating them to try and get around the asshat. Makes for a very hostile road. I do my part by cutting left lane campers off

No one should ever be sitting in the left lane. Move right unless you’re passing

I make this drive every weekday and it infuriates me. Since cell phones have become more of a thing, it has gotten ten times worse.

What's far far worse is the a-hole that see you coming up to pass in the left lane, has been tailing the semi in front of him for 30 minutes and decides that now is the time to pass, going 1 mph faster than the semi. I never release my cruise control for those people, they get run off the road or speed the frick up.

I'm so glad I don't have to drive in the interstate to go to work

One of the main reasons I moved to where I live now. I got tired of spending 30 minutes on I-20 full of a-hole truckers and tards who think an interstate is just like a two lane country road.

Now I have a seven minute commute.

Well they aren’t blocking up the left lane anymore so there’s that.

So, you are pissed because someone is slowing you down but you end up slowing down more to piss them off. You're just a little bitch.
