Stupid libraries
And I’m a librarian Our branch got fussed at years ago bc patrons complained that we didn’t have a separate section for African American fiction.
Oh well - everyone gets to look up fiction by author’s last name - no special privileges

I rarely even acknowledge my profession any longer. Thankfully, I am a one-man shop.
These people were trending this way 30+ years ago. Most librarians have no damn sense at all.

Me either - unless it’s to point out stupidness in the library-world. (I quit a few years ago to homeschool my kids)

you’re right - most are SJWs who think they can save the world if they can give everyone a library card

I, for one, am shocked that the party of Segregation and the KKK has come FULL CIRCLE in segregating us (again).

Keep voting Democrat, America!! We are almost there!!

Who knew George Wallace was the epitome of a progressive politician.

Had a chance to talk to him at 3am in the morning at a truck stop. He had his man servant at his side. Had pushed him in to a booth in his wheelchair next to me. He asked me were I was going being I was in my Marine uniform at the time. Was heading home on leave.

I may be too late to this party but I'm genuinely intrigued to know more about GreenRock and RedPop's experiences in the profession.

I have been in schools and higher education, at good places. Most of my impressions come from reading listservs and the occasional peeks at colleagues' social media.

There are a lot of loony losers in this profession.

I have to be honest, it wasn't until I watched that Evergreen documentary that I realized just how out of touch people are in those west coast states. Its really as if they live in another country.

Oh..and the inclusive dress policy is a real knee slapper..

There aren't many library professionals hanging around the OT, so I'm always intrigued when a poster identifies themselves as a librarian. I don't know what your experiences have been like but I've seen and experienced things that make my left-of-center mind wonder how things continue to operate the way they do.

If EBRPL ever had an audit done on loanable materials I'd be willing to guess the number and $ of "lost" materials would be eye-opening to taxpayers. Maybe e-resources are helping defray the future loss, but I don't know.

Chris people have been talking to you about this for a year.

Republicans and Conservatives don’t throw out communist, socialist, and Marxist as name calling all willy nilly. This shite has been going on for years.

Anyways, this video seemed relevant.

yes they do

There's a section of the Democratic party right now that are all of those things and you're right, but there is a much larger section that is not, yet those terms get tossed out to anyone who is brave enough to admit they're a Dem on TD.
