Seattle 1.75 Cents/oz Sugar TAX

Seattle passed a law to impose 1.75 cents per ounce for sugary beverages, to include Cokes, Gatorades, and most items at Starbucks. That is only 35 cents more for a 20 oz Coke, but it adds up at Costco when you buy bulk.

I mention this because I live south of the city and think they are a bunch of loons up there. Weed is legal and they offer nurses to help you do heroine. But they are going to tax this and the money is going to go towards "administrative fees".

We tax alcohol and tobacco which are also unhealthy. Don’t see a problem with this.

It was the British taxation of sugar that was one of the things that lead to the American Revolution.
Now, the cuck progs welcome it.

Boulder has this, and they even tax sugar free fountain drinks. Dumb.

Posted on 1/6/18 at 9:35 pm to CajunSuperJeff
So, if i buy a 44 oz polar pop for 79 cents, the tax will be 77 cents?

It's basically a regressive tax on poor people and minorities.
