Wrong.
It was about the British imposing taxes WITHOUT American respresentation in Parliament. That’s not the case in Seattle.

The Pacific Northwest is a weird place...beautiful, but weird.
This business of charging for bags, sugar taxes, etc is almost funny. I don’t need the local government to try to curb my usage of sugary beverages. You can argue that almost anything is unhealthy if it isn’t in moderation.

They should offer two options...
Pay the sugar tax or walk on a treadmill for 20 minutes and pay regular price.
