Anyone suffering from SAD this season?

quote:

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a type of depression that comes and goes with the seasons, typically starting in the late fall and early winter and going away during the spring and summer. Depressive episodes linked to the summer can occur, but are much less common than winter episodes of SAD.

frick this rain, generally gray weather and early nightfall have me feeling like hibernating. I've been at work for three hours now, and I could not tell you what I've accomplished. I HAVE made a list though.

This time of year always just makes me...tired.

Nope. By March I'm ready for spring but I appreciate the winter.

The people affected by this are probably the same people that wanted to kill themselves because our world isn't like the movie Avatar.

Already?

By the time March rolls around up here, I definitely suffer from it.

I do too, but February and March can be tough months. Can't imagine what it's like around your neck of the woods.

Nah, I love some cold weather.

I do wish we wouldn't "fall back" an hour, but whatever.

I don't care for the cold, wet and windy weather, but I'm not feeling any more or less suicidal than usual today.

I always get a bit more melancholy this time of year. It's dreary, cold and gets dark by 5 pm. Not a fan of that at all.

No, I wish we could do away with Standard Time though. I hate when its dark at 5:30.

It's not that bad. It does affect some people but I think I thrive in the cycles of light and dark

To me it's natural. In summer we go constantly, in winter we rest. That's not to say we don't get outside and play, but our rhythms slow down and it's perfectly natural.

This is why I keep winter homes in Boca Raton, Playa del Carmen, and Costa Rica.
