How do you have so much time to ski?
Professional ski bum. Live in Summit County and work at a ski shop. Our shifts give you a shot at the mountain most days.
Work in turf management so my last job in Denver was seasonal. Moved to the high country this fall and I'm here to stay. Steamboat bound come spring.
Found good snow at Copper today. 7 inches at Breck so far. Going there tomorrow unless Eldora near Boulder gets above a foot.

Pop up powder day at Keystone. Untouched snow everywhere. No one was on the mountain.
Heading to Steamboat to sign a lease and ski tomorrow.

I just booked a last minute flight into Reno to ride the insane amount of pow about to drop in the Tahoe area. Forecast is calling for 16-20 inches Friday night, followed by a foot to a foot and a half on Saturday. We don't get storms like that in Colorado. I'm so hard right now

Tahoe needed this season. They've been getting such good snow all season. I'm heading to Park City Sunday for a few days to see the twin brother. Hope to catch a storm in Little Cottonwood one of the days.
March is supposed to be stormier for Colorado. Today was so good. Just enough to cover up all the hard crust below.

Headed to Vail next Wednesday for 4 days. Anyone know what the snow is like right now up there? Looks like it's been a pretty good dry spell for the last couple of weeks.

The season started off so well then February as a whole was a bust. It was very warm with little to no snowfall. I've climbed more than I've gone out to ride since January. Looks like the system about to move through California will eventually drop some snow here. When or how much remains to be seen, but I'll be pulling for you bro

March is generally the best snow month in CO. Drops off quick in April though.
One more Summit County trip for me in late March.
Wish I could hit Tahoe, theyve been dumped on this season.

This is how it has generally gone lately for me:
Morning - icy and shitty.. Have those extra few drinks at the bar and don't worry about getting anything close to first chair in the AM
11ish - lift close - everything softens up and rides pretty well

Steamboat is riding well right now. Slushy and warm some spots but there is so much untouched snow from yesterday's little dump.
Been lapping a short lift that is just a playground of boulders and booters under the lift line. Perfect firm but soft powder landings and no one else is touching my lines. Such a fun day so far. Trees are skiing well and groomers aren't too bad.
Bout to head back and check some aspen groves out now that they've warmed up. Can't wait to ski this mountain all the time next season. I love all the terrain features. Giant boulders to huck to gentle usually powder landings. Not as steep as some CO mountains but the terrain features make up for it.
