Remember the Santa at that department store off of Florida? Forgot the name of the store, but every Christmas season they would put up a Santa on the roof and it would just keep going "Hooo hooo hoo. Hoo hoo hoo"

OK, apparently some people have taken the time to collect images of the pages of Wish Books and catalogs from the 90s, 80s, 70s and even earlier than that and put them into Flickr albums and collections. No Sears 1990 but they have some immediately before and after as well as some of the JC Penney catalogs. I know what I'm doing the rest of the afternoon.

Yes! I remember the Wish Book. Every kid probably has the same story. I would circle 47 things by the time I got to like page 30. When push came to shove though I usually always wanted the same things every year:
A football
Some kind of army man/warfare contraption
A video game
I didn't have any of the sweatsuits shown, but I definitely wore the shite out of some sweatsuits in my day.
Those pics brought back some memories:

You know what use to piss me off? They had football uniforms, but only a few teams were available.. Every year the picture was a kid in a Cowboys uniform and as bad as I wanted a uniform, they didn't have the Saints and I didn't want to get another team.

I remember flipping through every page in the Sears Wishbook and the Wilson's catalogue during the mid 1970s through early 1980s. It always pissed me off that they never had Saints items. The same went for Monday Night Football half time highlights, no Saints.

Yep. In the 80's if you weren't a Cowboys, Dolphins, Giants, Bears, 49ers fan, you were pretty much shite out of luck. Hell, I was probably well aware of the NFL for 3 or so years before I even found out the Saints existed -- and my Grandpa was a bookie!!!!
