Oh my god.
It is truly sad that people are so ignorant about this stuff. Stop listening to your preacher and 4th grade teacher's opinion on marijuana. They have no clue what they're talking about.
Then why don't you inform us mere peons, Dr. Marijuana?
I would be willing to bet that upwards of 95% of heroin users have used marijuana. You just want to chalk that up to coincidence?

This is a special new fallacy. Since A occurred prior to B, B clearly caused A.

And now we have the original fallacy.

I would be willing to bet that 100% of heroin users have seen a Bible. Does the Bible cause heroin addiction?
I would be willing to bet that upwards of 98% of heroin addicts have eaten Cheerios. Do Cheerios cause heroin addiction.
I would be willing to bet that 100% of heroin users have sucked on a titty. Do titties cause heroin addiction?

I don’t believe this
Neither do I
Neither do I

Whenever people start injecting bibles, Cheerios, and titties into their body in an unnatural manner to alter their mind you let me know. Then maybe I will take the time to address this elementary argument.

I've never seen anyone inject a joint, either.

Bad news for drug addicts.

The study also showed genetic overlap between cannabis use and the risk of schizophrenia.
An overlap is not the same as a link. The article does not say that there is a causal relationship between cannabis and schizophrenia. OP title is misleading.

It couldn't be the simple fact that if someone is willing to try Heroin - they are probably also willing to try Marijuana and other less stigmatized drugs. I bet 95% of Heroin users also have smoked cigarettes and tried alcohol.

Everyone knows meth and heroin messes with brain and development
Now why would humans evolve in such a way as to have MORE receptors for a unique plants unique products in development of the mind when that mind is what really separates us from all other animals? (or for the Creationists out there: Why would God create us to have a greater density of unique receptors to a unique plant product during our mental growth stage of life?)

Its false propaganda.
Also morbid the clown didn't understand at all.
He's got a fallacy going.

We’ve been seeing this for a while in the Corrections systems across the country. Heavy users seem to be far more likely to have more severe symptoms similar to those of schizophrenia, extreme paranoia and depression. It does seem to diminish over time somewhat.

A new scientific study has linked smoking cannabis with certain psychiatric conditions such as schizophrenia.

I'm not exactly certain of your question, but I think you are meaning to suggest that cb1 and cb2 receptors are
1) unique to humans
2) only activated by plant-based cannabinoids.
If my understanding of your question is correct, your body has "endocannabinoids" that play a role in this system, and the system is present in several other (I believe all but will be lazy on the point since I may be misunderstanding yours) mammals.
I don't mean to belittle the point or miss your argument. If I did, can you please try to restate it? And prior to this, were you familiar with the concept of "endocannabinoids?" I hear the argument from time to time that "marijuana is the only thing this receptor is used for," which simply isn't true-not certain this is where you're trying to go with this post.

Suddenly every pot head is a scientist. They should have studied the correlation between pot and explaining your trashy behavior with,”You believe everything the government tells you?”

Just for the record - The Mirror in the UK has a horrible reputation. Don’t assume that because it’s based out of the UK that it’s reputable
