There's no way they'd let this go to trial

Then again, TCA and the local judicial mafia think they can do no wrong so they might think they can get away with anything

I really wonder what Jeff Landry has cooking against these fools.

All of these idiots need to be thrown out, especially with all the new tax revenue they are receiving.

If I were the Plummers I'd refuse to settle and force it to trial just out of spite.

Just curious, what gives you that idea? I don’t personally know any of the parties involved but I haven’t got that feeling about the daughter.

I recall a few stories where the daughter/granddaughter wasn't exactly the greatest relative in the world. The part that bothers me is that they both wrote themselves into the will of someone under their care. Tasha wrote herself into the will to collect 20% of the total value of the estate over the course of 20 years. That's the part that's fricked up.

Guess now we know the real reason for their budget increase. Just how much was supposed to be for legal fees?

I cannot WAIT to see how quickly this case gets settled out of court for an undisclosed sum with an NDA in place after discovery goes down. None of the defendants can risk what's almost certainly going to come out during discovery becoming part of the public record in a trial.

Just anecdotal evidence on my part. I've seen elderly clients manipulated by outside parties, but the family is often out of their life, thereby allowing it to happen.

I think the COA and others involved are despicable, but I don't think Ms. Plummer's estate ends up in this situation if her and her daughter have a typical relationship. That is just my guess though.

I really hope there’s no way Tarsha keeps her job after this

The only reason I can see her staying on is if a friend of her mom finds a way to quash the suit.

Given that Don “BACS” Johnson himself had to order Tarsha’s mom to hand over the documents in this case, I don’t think they will cover for her.

I'm willing to donate to a gofundme to pay her legal fees.

I hope she's the start of getting every one of those bitches fired.

I'm not sure she wants a jury trial of her peers. The demographics of Baton Rouge lead to a bunch of idiots that encourage theft and general criminal behavior.

OTOH, how many from that group actually show up for jury duty?

I think this may be too big for that, especially after Southern suspended Jackson
(Or they recommended that she be suspended)

Hopefully this gets enough attention for her to be disbarred

Sounds like a slam dunk. Good job on the jury trial as well. State employees like to take care of each other.
