Sorry if germans.

Young people would have to take a class that costs $100 and would receive a certificate allowing them to legally drink in Louisiana.

Sorry no link. Saw it on KPLC.com on my phone.

Are the feds gonna withhold highway funds like they did in the 80s again?

Well, it should be decreased to 18, but whatever.

Arbitrary ages are arbitrary.

My first thought as well. Can't help but wonder how this would play out with this incarnation of SCOTUS.

The state could make a nice chunk of change doing this.

Was it the 80s or 90s? I could drink when I was 18 in 95, but then the law changed to 21 and I couldn't.

I’ve always thought it should be all or nothing. Drinking, voting, and military all 18 or all 21.

It should be 14. If you can get banged by your teacher then you should be able to drink.

That’s not true. If you were 18 before the law changed you were grandfathered in. I was at LSU when the law changed. If my memory serves me right but I was drunk so I could be mistaken.

Drinking 21, Voting 25, Military 18(it's voluntary) but when you join the military you can immediately engage in the previous two.

I've always said that with a military ID, you can drink.
