I told my grandmother goodbye today. I asked her to look over me if she was able and thanked her for being a light in my life.
We held hands for a long while.
I left and ended up with a double flat.
Plugged the tire twice and limped home.
Tomorrow will be better.

Keep on the path. Sorry for your loss. It is always painful to say goodbye, but at least you got the chance.

Sounds like granny didn't like you very much

j/k

My last grandparent doesn't have long left. It's not something I am looking forward to but blessed she's been around to see me into my 40s

We lost our grandpa a few years ago- kindest soul who ever walked this planet. It's hard. I still think about him all the time, but again with a smile. We were all blessed for knowing him. You will find peace again

Be a light in your child and grandchild's life the way she was in yours. Don't let satan get in the way. That's all I've got, and I'm sorry for your impending loss.

ETA- what I mean is, the torch is being passed down to you, to be the next light in the family.

My grandmother is actually living with me because she's 90 years old and is suffering from dementia. She asked me earlier tonight, "Where are the things to stick into the TV?" She was looking for her remote. I know she doesn't have much time left, so I can relate a little. I'm glad you got to say goodbye to her.

She will soon finally know the everlasting glory of God.

Prayers for your and your families peace and faith in such a difficult time.

Getting to say goodbye is a wonderful blessing you'll always remember fondly in time.

You are a wonderful person

Most people dump them in a nursing home and go visit 1 hour a week

Grams and Gramps are ..... just special, really special.
Yes, tomorrow will be better and the next day better and then the next better. At 67 I've lost all my grams and gramps and my parents and miss all of them each and every day...but I am thankful for all the special times and memories.

The departed whom we now remember have entered into the peace of life eternal. They still live on earth in the acts of goodness they performed and in the hearts of those who cherish their memory. May the beauty of their life abide among us as a loving benediction.

I'm sorry. My dad passed away peacefully at home on September 6th. He was on hospice because of COPD. Being able to hold his hand as he passed and be there for him when he needed me the most during his last week of life are some of the proudest moments of my life.

I've experienced multiple signs since his passing that are not coincidences. I understand how difficult this time is for you, but I promise you your grandma is better than she's ever been before. Keep your head up.
