Saturday night observation from Magazine Street

was headed toward the Bulldog from CBD when I was blocked by NOPD in both directions for a wedding with second line...
this was a new one for me...thought that was a Quarter thing only?

It's a City of New Orleans thing. Lots of old mansions along Magazine, Prytania, St. Charles = weddings = second lines.

You can actually contact NOPD and they will permit and help you plan your own parade.
I had a full jazz band follow us around a few years ago as we got shithoused.
By the end of the night, I had a 4 NOPD officer escort and 10 people I didnt know following the core group around
