Those social programs for the homeless and illegal aliens won’t pay for themselves.

The government isn’t interested in putting a dent in the black market. There’s too much money in illegal narcotics for them to ever shut it down. The agencies that survive on funding for the “fight” as well as the politicians who are getting bribed will never let that happen.

This thread is several months old btw. Some new poster randomly bumped it for some reason

Though it appears the measure is still in effect until the end of this year

And people thought dealers would just roll over, go legit, and start paying taxes. Dumbasses!

People thought consumers would just roll over and willingly pay more for a product? Dumbasses!

Very conservative of the OT to be cheerleaders for taxing lawful business operations
I would say most of us conservatives favor this particular taxation because it's a means to end....legalizing marijuana. You've got to give a little to get a little.

If CA knew what they were doing, they should have started with minimal taxes, potentially even give tax credits to dispensaries to lower their prices further than dealers can compete with. Drive the dealers out of business, then slowly ramp your taxes

The quality from dispensaries is the best of the best. It seems people would be willing to pay a little extra for that alone.

Lol, that same pot ends up on the street. My guy that delivers to my door has as good or better stuff than any dispensary. And gunmmies as well!
